Ram Trucks recently introduced the all-new 2023 Ram 2500 Heavy Duty Rebel, expanding the brand’s heavy-duty lineup, and offering enhanced off-road performance without sacrificing payload or towing capacity. The newest HD truck from Ram is squarely positioned between the Laramie and Power Wagon trim levels.

Ram Heavy Duty Rebel owners can choose between a 6.7-liter Cummins Turbo Diesel I-6 or a 6.4-liter HEMI® V-8 with cylinder deactivation and variable-cam timing (VCT) engine. Other features include a unique suspension, rear limited-slip differential, rear electronic locker, and an available 12,000-lb. winch installed from the factory.

The styling cues of the 2023 Ram 2500 Heavy Duty Rebel borrow heavily from the Ram 2500 Power Wagon except for the unique badging and the sport performance hood by Mopar. But aside from looks, the new HD Rebel features a unique five-link coil suspension, a rear limited-slip differential and rear electronic locker, 20-inch wheels (with optional 18-inch wheels for more tire sidewall), aggressive 33-inch off-road tires, and skid plates that protect the fuel tank and transfer case. Cargo tie-downs are standard, while a spray-in bed liner, LED bed lighting and bed step are available.

The 6.7-liter Cummins Turbo Diesel I-6 offers 370 horsepower and 850-lb.-ft. of torque. The 68RFE six-speed automatic transmission is standard with the turbo diesel option. If you prefer a gas engine, the 6.4-liter HEMI® V-8 will produce 410 horsepower and 429-lb.-ft. of torque and is paired with the 8HP75 eight-speed automatic transmission.

Rebel also features a 360-degree Surround View camera, which includes forward-view camera gridlines to help navigate obstacles. This system provides a single display-screen view of both sides of a trailer to assist drivers in maneuvering towing setups. An available 12-inch frameless digital gauge cluster features nearly two dozen different menus. The full-color cluster features five reconfigurable tiles for at-a-glance data, or quick and easy access to the most used information. Drivers may choose between analog or digital instrumentation. All cluster settings can be saved to a user profile.
