Subaru unveiled the much anticipated 2024 Subaru Crosstrek in the Japanese market recently with a redesigned exterior and upgraded interior features, including a larger touchscreen infotainment unit and improved driver assist features.
2024 Subaru Crosstrek Exterior
As with most Subaru iterations, it takes a keen eye to notice the updates, but on the exterior, we noticed a sleeker front end compared to the 2022 version – with cladding to protect the bumper as well as slimmer headlights.

The black cladding around the wheel wells appears to have grown somewhat over the current Crosstrek versions. We also noticed changes to the rear of the vehicle, including elongated rear lights and taller ABS cladding to protect the rear panels.
2024 Subaru Crosstrek Interior
The redesigned cabin of the 2024 Subaru Crosstrek includes an 11.6-inch vertically-oriented touchscreen infotainment unit. The engineers at Subaru designed this new cabin to make travel times more enjoyable, more user-friendly, and easier to drive. The center console and gear shifter have been redesigned with this in mind, allowing access to everything within reach. The seats have also been redesigned to be more supportive and reduce vibration.

The EyeSight driver assist safety system is also redesigned for 2024, utilizing multiple cameras around the vehicle to provide a 360-degree, top-down view visible through the infotainment system. This will be spectacular for those that take their Crosstrek on soft off-roading trails or those who frequent tight parking lots in town.

2024 Subaru Crosstrek Availability
While the reveal did not address the changes to the U.S. Crosstrek specifications, we can assume that Subaru will be offering the Crosstrek in Base, Premium, Sport, Limited, and Hybrid trim packages, as well as introducing the Wilderness edition trim package that boasts higher ground clearance, enhanced X-MODE traction settings, revised gear ratios, and a more rugged exterior.
The JDM spec 2024 Crosstrek will go on sale in Japan in 2023. It will likely hit the U.S. market in late 2023 for the 2024 model year. As soon as we have more information about features, trim packages, and powertrain, we’ll let you know. The current (2022) Subaru Crosstrek has a base price of $23,645, while the hybrid version starts at $36,845. We’ll have to see how the pricing shakes out on the 2024 model.
