Purveyors of high-tech, fashion-forward, and functional apparel Aether just released a brand new offering for those looking for a moto jacket that will look good and keep you protected on the bike. Dubbed the Mulholland Jacket, this jacket is a great example of Aether’s philosophy of building gear that is quietly technical while still providing plenty of protective functionality.
The Mulholland is constructed of three-layered heavy nylon fabric that’s seam taped so you’re protected from downpours. When you need to cool down, a number of zippered vents allow you to dial in the perfect temperature in any riding conditions. Most importantly, the Mulholland includes five D30 Ghost Pads that remain flexible until an impact, and then they harden to protect you from injury.
Since this jacket is also meant to be functional beyond riding protection, the pocket layout provides plenty of storage space, and it’s easy to access your gear even when wearing gloves.
The Mulholland is available from Aether Apparel for $650 in Reserve Brown, Command Green, and Total Eclipse. We’ll soon have an in-depth review of the Mulholland jacket from Aether Apparel here on the Compass. Don’t miss it.
