Right? Chef Corso from Outdoor Eats will join Overland Expo to present a series of fun and tasty backcountry cooking workshops. These sessions will set you on the path to creating and enjoying great meals anywhere your legs, bike, boat, or four wheels can take you.
Outdoor Eats is led by classically trained chef and avid outdoorsman Steve Corso. Having trained as a chef in Napa Valley and in Northern Italy, Corso found he much preferred cooking alfresco to working in a professionally outfitted commercial kitchen. The company is headquartered in Seattle, WA, but the recipes are trail-tested all over the world. And they are really put to the test when Chef Corso himself takes off on one of his favorite multi-day hikes in North Cascades National Park.
Using fresh, easy-to-find, packable ingredients, Chef Corso will present delicious recipes in the following sessions:

Outdoor cooking programming at Overland Expo has long been a fan favorite. This year, Overland Expo West will feature a culinary series in the Backcountry Skills + Cooking Pavilion, sponsored by Benchmade Knives, providing an elevated live experience for attendees interested in learning new recipes and outdoor cooking techniques from long-time presenter and celebrity chef, Chef Steve Corso of Outdoor Eats.
Chef Corso’s live presentations will also be recorded and featured in a new outdoor cooking video series that will be distributed throughout the Overland Expo digital ecosystem post-event and will live evergreen on all Overland Expo digital channels. You will be able to find all of Chef Corso’s recorded classes on our YouTube channel, to prep your meals for your next adventure.
All recipes can be expected to have ten ingredients or less, be prepared in under 30 minutes, and mindful of pack weight and volume.
