After scattered appearances on other models over the last twenty years, Ford reintroduced the Tremor package on the Ford Super Duty F-250 in 2020. The Tremor trickled down to the F-150 and Ranger in 2021 and, finally, the Maverick in 2022. Now, it’s jumping to the SUV lineup with the debut of the 2025 Tremor Expedition.

The new Tremor Expedition replaces the Timberline trim and adds a handful of features inside and out. It features 33-inch General Grabber tires mounted to exclusive 18-inch wheels, skid plates for the transfer case and fuel tank, a front bash plate, tow hooks, and a redesigned grill. This adds up to plenty of offroad capability, comfort, and 10.6 inches of ground clearance. With an electronic rear locker and off-road terrain modes the Expedition Tremor will be ready to tackle some trails straight off from the dealership. A 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 High-Output engine that puts out up to 440 hp and 510 lb.-ft. of torque powers the Tremor.

Inside, the Expedition Tremor features a 24-inch dash-mounted display shared among all trims in the Expedition lineup. There’s also a 13.2-touch screen as the center display. The infotainment system is called the Ford Digital Experience and includes Google apps, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto.
“Tremor is the pinnacle of Expedition adventure-ready capability,” said Adrian Aguirre, Expedition Chief engineer. “Expedition Tremor delivers off-road capability and hardware shared with F-150 Tremor combined with Expedition big family and cargo-carrying versatility.”

The Expedition Tremor is a great platform for adventurous families with seating for up seven. The Expedition features a class-exclusive 40/20/40 folding third-row bench seat so dialing in the perfect seating arrangement is a breeze. The Tremor trim is only available on the standard-wheelbase Expedition, but for those looking for even more room the Expedition MAX is available in other trims.
