This month we’re bringing you some great gear to keep those summer adventures coming. This showcase has a little bit of everything that is overland related. Fridges, camp furniture, bumpers, and more await. Who knows? This month’s showcase might hold your new favorite gear.

Dakar Hybrid Bumper – CBI Offroad

CBI Offroad Fab has been manufacturing high-quality offroading and overlanding equipment for more than ten years, focusing on superior quality and performance. Each part is designed, engineered, and built by an expert team in a state-of-the-art facility in Idaho Falls, Idaho, USA.

The Toyota Tacoma Dakar Hybrid Bumper is an exceptional example of the reliable innovation available from CBI Offroad Fab. From conception to production, every detail has been considered to make this bumper extremely functional and high-performing in the toughest environments. Each design is tested extensively and used daily by a team of dedicated engineers and industry experts.

Specifically fitted for the third generation Toyota Tacoma (2016-2022), the Dakar Hybrid Bumper combines the strength of plate steel with the lightweight durability of DOM tubing. This creates a rugged appearance that looks tough and performs even better. By adding DOM tubing, the design retains strength and enhances protection for your lights and grill while reducing overall weight by 33% compared to full steel plate bumpers. This means better fuel efficiency and more distance with even greater confidence. With gas prices today, that makes a big difference on any adventure.

The design dramatically improves your rig’s approach angle, meaning much less skidding and scuffing with greater flexibility in taking on tough climbs. It also includes a recessed and hidden winch mounting point that is secure, along with very capable d-rings for recovery and rescue. Additionally, each bumper is equipped with mounting points for up to six light pods, along with an integrated mount for up to a 30-inch lightbar. You’ll be seeing everything in your path and driving with more capabilities, which adds to the comfort of any off-road trip.

This model gets its name from the Dakar Rally, one of the toughest rally races in the world, so you know it’s designed to take a beating instead of your truck. And you can choose from optional black powder coating to add protection or stick with bare metal to match your taste. While there is some cutting required on the factory body to install the bumper, installation is actually quick and simple with the right tools. Once installed, the bumper will not interfere with your vehicle’s factory cruise control sensor. The added strength, performance, and versatility in all terrains are well worth the time and investment in adding this awesome setup to your Tacoma.

So, what are you waiting for? Order yours today from CBI Offroad Fab. You’ll be just in time to beat the crowds as everyone tries to hit the trails this spring and summer.

Pure Sine Wave Inverters – REDARC

No more sacrificing luxury! Take your home appliances wherever you go and discover power and convenience like you’ve never experienced before with REDARC’s Pure Sine Wave Inverters. REDARC Pure Sine Wave Inverters produce the output required for powering most 100-120 VAC equipment on the road. They allow the use of household appliances by replicating grid power to common household appliances. Producing a pure sine wave, REDARC’s inverters ensure smoother, more efficient running of appliances including laptops and phone chargers, power tools, heaters, kettles and more.

REDARC inverters have a wider input voltage range, and they work comfortably anywhere. All inverters feature multiple levels of protection including overload, short-circuit, over-temperature and a load-controlled cooling fan which engages when power consumption reaches a pre-set level. With REDARC inverters you can take all the comforts of home with you while you travel – without fear of damaging your valuable appliances

Cheaper inverters try to imitate a sine wave by ‘chopping off’ the corners of a square wave, creating a modified square wave. Modified sine wave inverters can often lead to appliances overheating. This is due to the square wave having faster switching times on each polarity change, which stresses appliances designed for pure sine wave. Light bulbs and shunt motors may be able to run on a modified sine wave but for many other appliances this will not be sufficient.

Available in 400w, 1000w, 1500w, 2000w and 3000w

The Truma Cooler C69DZ Dual Zone Portable Fridge/Freezer is tough enough for any adventure and ready to go wherever your travels may take you.

Robust, reinforced corners and stainless steel hinges allow the Truma Cooler to withstand the bumps on even the roughest terrain. A reversible lid, 12VDC connections on both ends, and durable handles that fold flush to the sides add to this cooler’s versatility.

Inside, this 69-liter cooler has two separate temperature control zones, making it twice as functional as other mobile fridges on the market. The Truma Cooler features a reliable and durable proprietary compressor, which can cool both zones to temperatures from -8°F to 50°F no matter how hot it is outside. Whether you choose to set both zones to the same temperature or use one section as a refrigerator or the other as a freezer, you will be able to keep all of your food safe for the entire length of your journey. Then this dual-zone fridge/freezer is perfect for your longer adventures in an off-road vehicle or as an additional fridge or freezer in your camper.

The Truma Cooler is rated Class A++ for energy efficiency. The low average hourly amp draw allows you to stay in the wilderness longer without draining precious battery power. This fridge/freezer is even efficient enough for rigs with solar power. The cooler also has a multi-voltage system and three-stage discharge protection for the vehicle battery.

In addition to giving you two cold storage zones, the Truma Cooler C69DZ also gives you two ways to control your cooler. The intuitive digital display on the cooler itself allows you to set and see at a glance the set-point and the actual temperature of the interior and also features a “Turbo” button for even faster cooling. The Truma Cooler app, available as a free download on the App Store and Google Play, can also control the unit via Bluetooth. The Truma Cooler App allows campers to check their cooler’s temperature and control functions remotely within Bluetooth range. On long road trips, a passenger can check the temperature on their phone and make adjustments while on the road. This eliminates extra pit stops to check the cooler and ensures you never arrive at your destination with spoiled food.
