If you’ve been holding out on adding an e-bike to your toy collection because you haven’t found the perfect one quite yet, perhaps the Indian Motorcycle SUPER73 is just what you’ve been waiting for. The limited release, eFTR Hooligan 1.2 combines a trusted electric powertrain from SUPER73 with moto-inspired styling from Indian Motorcycle.
Aimed at adventurers, fun-seekers, and motorcyclists, the Hooligan uses the SUPER73-S2 platform. It’s a high-performance, versatile electric bicycle that touts several moto-inspired styling features. Indian Motorcycle designed the eFTR Hooligan 1.2 with inverted front forks, mid-height, moto-style handlebars, and more aggressive tires.
The eFTR Hooligan 1.2 also strips the front and rear fenders, relocates the battery for improved balance, and adds a gold chain to complete the bike’s authentic Indian Motorcycle design. “No other electric bicycle brand has defined itself as vividly as SUPER73,” said Ross Clifford, Vice President of Parts, Garments, and Accessories at Indian Motorcycle. “But it’s far more than just brand personality. Like us, SUPER73 shares an unwavering commitment to their loyal and passionate customers, as well as to quality and innovation, marked by its sophisticated electric powertrain and an unmistakable product design that resonates with both non-motorcyclists and avid motorcycle riders.”
Engineered for recreation and urban transportation, the eFTR Hooligan 1.2 features a durable aluminum chassis, 20-inch wheels, and disc brakes. Its 960 watt-hour removable battery delivers more than 40 miles of range in throttle-only operation and over 75 miles of range when using the pedal assist mode.
Though you might not take the title as “The World’s Fastest Indian” on the Hooligan, the bike’s ride modes will get you ripping through a combination of throttle and pedal assist power delivery. Of particular interest is the Off-Road Mode which delivers up to 2000 watts of power and speeds above 28 mph.
Priced at $3,999.99, the eFTR Hooligan 1.2 does not require a motorcycle endorsement to operate (though you should probably be considering getting yours anyhow, just for fun!). The bike will begin shipping in spring 2022 and is exclusively available at Indian Motorcycle dealers across the United States and online at IndianMotorcycle.com.
