The camping trailer experts at Mammoth Overland have done it again. The WLY, aka “Wooly,” is their newest offering, and it’s designed for the cold-weather adventurer in mind. If you aren’t familiar with Mammoth Overland, their Extinction Level Event and Tall Boy trailerd both raised the bar for their respective categories, and the quality of Mammoth Trailers has to be seen to truly believe.

Now you can head off to pursue whatever winter activity you love without worrying about a warm and secure shelter to come back to. The WLY includes house levels of insulation with R25 insulation in the floor paired with R12 in the walls and ceiling. For reference, most trailers are only insulated from RO to R5.
The 11,500-BTU/hour heater is designed for a small cabin, which means the WLY can keep you warm down to -20 degrees Fahrenheit. This incredible thermal capability is possible thanks to a wool-lined interior and a heated king-size mattress. The wool insulation is more than just there for warmth. It also insulates wet, is hypoallergenic, and fire resistant.
The 21-gallon water tank and lines also function down to the same amazing 20 degrees below zero. However, the Mammoth Overland WLY isn’t just for cold-weather endeavors; the onboard Dometic RTX 2000 air conditioner is ready for summer heat waves.

“Winters in the Pacific Northwest are beautiful and majestic, especially in the mountains. I wanted to create a trailer that allows folks the ability to explore during winter for more than just the day,” said Mammoth Overland President Scott Taylor. “With Wooly, our engineers exceeded my wildest dreams. During testing, we were able to maintain 85 degrees inside the trailer, even with the kitchen and both doors wide open, with a 27-degree outside temperature. WLY is a dream come true for four-season campers.”
As expected, the WLY is ready for wintery conditions with Toyo Open Country A/T III tires with a 3PMS rating for excellent grip in the snow. And if the WLY or the tow rig happens to get stuck, you have nine recovery points that each rated to 20,000 pounds to help with the recovery situation.
Power isn’t an issue with the WLY, which has four options: shore power, vehicle towing power, two onboard 100-watt solar panels, and a WEN 4,000-watt generator. All four can feed the 800-amp-hour lithium battery pack from Renogey.

The outdoor kitchen is protected by the unique annex that deploys over the rear hatch. Additional outdoor space is provided by the 23ZERO Bushman awning room, which allows you to change out of snow gear before entering the cozy camper. Uptop Mammoth Overland makes sure you’re ready for anything with MAXTRAX MKII recovery boards, an aggressive Krazy Beaver shovel, an ice axe, snow shoes, four ski holders, and RotopaX for additional fuel or water storage.
Like all Mammoth Overland trailers, the WLY is built to order. Deposits are currently being taken, and the trailer is priced at $56,900.
