It’s almost time for Overland Expo West, the largest gathering of overland manufacturers, campers, media, product innovation, customers, and culture in the world. While Overland Expo West is always an amazing event, this year is particularly special because it’s the 15th Anniversary. In honor of our 15 years of gathering overlanders together, we’ve assembled the top 15 things you must see at the show this May.
1. Hang out with overland legends at West’s 15th Anniversary Party. Hear how it all started and stories from the very first Overland Expo from industry legends, including Overland Expo founders Roseann & Jonathan Hansen. Join us at the XPLOR Oasis Bar and Food Court for a 15th Anniversary party as part of Happy Hour on Friday, presented by Maxxis Tires.
2. Drive the all-new INEOS Grenadier. You’ve heard about it. You’ve read about it. Now, get behind the wheel of the INEOS Grenadier – a purpose-built off-roader that’s making waves as the newest overland vehicle on the market. Don’t miss your chance to test drive the Grenadier on a custom offroad course at Overland Expo West all weekend. READ MORE
3. Meet your favorite ambassadors, overland travelers & creators. Whether their rig is on display in an exhibitor’s booth or they are your neighbors in the campgrounds – West brings together some of the most influential storytellers from the community. New this year, visit the Storytelling Pavilion sponsored by K & N Filters for an opportunity to meet top content creators, including Amanda Zito (@blindthistle), Brittany, Eric, and Caspian Highland (@HourlessLife), and Harrison Schoen (@harry.schoen). Get tips from some of the most successful overlanding storytellers about creating captivating, high-quality video and photo content; learn about laws affecting content creators; hear how to start a podcast, a successful YouTube channel, or a career in publishing; and much, much more.
4. 15th Anniversary Community Photos. Did you attend any early Overland Expo West? 5. Reserve a larger campsite this year. You asked, and we listened. Overland Expo’s campgrounds are festival-style, but new this year, we have created a new camping area that allows your campsite a little extra room. Each campsite in the Large Footprint Camping area is a 20×20 ft space, set just behind moto camp and the grandstands – a short walk into the event. Quantities are limited so book early! Interested? Check out the camping packages HERE.
6. Have breakfast with Toyota in the campgrounds on Saturday. New this year, our friends at Toyota will provide donuts, coffee, and hot cocoa on Saturday, May 18th, from 7:30 am until the food is gone. Grab your breakfast on your way into the show along the walking path from the weekend pass with camping campground towards the show entrance.
