Best of the Best Shot Contest 2020

The staff at Overland Expo have selected some of our favorite images from the Overland Expo 2020 Best Shot Contest and we liked them so much we wanted to share them with you.

Winner of the Overland Expo 2020 Best Shot Contest: Jason Sims

On a solo adventure in search of solitude. Jason found success in Utah’s Newfoundland Mountains. All around, rugged landscapes softened by nature’s paintbrush, color exploding across the October sky at sunset. But that was only the first explosion. In absolute silence, he was blasted straight upright and wide awake from a deep sleep by an enormous explosion. A not-so-gentle reminder of his proximity to the USAF training range just to the south. Thankfully, it was the only reminder of nearby civilization during his three-day exploration of this desolate, but stunning region.
