CHRIS COONSHEADASSISTANT MOTORCYCLE INSTRUCTOR

Chris began riding at the age of six on a Hodaka Wombat, advancing to a Yamaha DT 125 and racing motocross by the age of fourteen. Street bikes came next, including a Honda CB 550 at fifteen. Fifteen years of experience in superbike and supersport road racing with the Motorcycle Roadracing Association (MRA) and service as a part-time new racer instructor for the MRA, along with ten years of adventure riding in places such as Colombia, Vietnam, Thailand, Australia, the Colorado Rockies, and Arkansas provided a solid background for Chris’ involvement with D.A.R.T. Chris has worked with D.A.R.T. as a “scout” and assistant instructor since 2020.

As a Boeing 747 captain for twenty-two years, flying cargo internationally, Chris enjoys unique local foods in his travels, as well as reading science and tech, watching cartoons, and listening to music. Back home in Bixby, Oklahoma, where he was born and raised, Chris enjoys hunting and shooting with his father, and his son Hunter. His family includes his best friend and partner Kimiko, “the best significant other in the world.”
