JAYSTON LANDONOVERLAND DRIVING INSTRUCTOR

In 2013 Jayston attended and worked his first Overland Expo. Since then, he has been at all but three of the world-class events. Growing up in a family that was passionate about offroading and developing a passion for outdoor travel as a young adult, Jayston took to the Overland world with gusto. Nine years of learning from – and eventually working with – the world’s best offroad drivers has left quite the impression. Having spent the last 7 years in secondary at-risk and trade school education settings, Jayston left that career path to focus on his offroad training and agriculture passions.

Jayston is NPTC certified in Offroad Driving and Recovery, USDA certified to instruct Safe Tractor and Machinery Operation, as well as a Leave No Trace Trainer. In addition to that, he has held various welding-oriented certifications over the years. Jayston spends plenty of time under a welding hood, working with anything from roll cages to farm equipment. He splits time between his family, farm, and his work with various military, law enforcement, recreational, and professional training circles. Having worked with a wide variety of clients – teenagers on farms to retirees traveling the world – Jayston can offer fresh viewpoints to any of his students.
