Tim HüberOVERLAND DRIVING INSTRUCTOR

Tim has been teaching as an Overland Driving Instructor at Overland Expo since 2008.  Tim is NPTC certified in off-road driving, winching and vehicle prep.  He has worked as a Tread Lightly Trainer, Backcountry and Expedition Guide, Military Special Operations instructor and Vehicle Outfitter. He is also a data collector mapping the most remote areas of the United States for the Federal Government using 4×4’s, dirt bikes and mountain bikes. 

In addition to attending Overland Expo events as a driving instructor, Tim also consults for Overland Expo on the overland vehicle skills training programming and curriculum alongside Director of Overland Vehicle Training, Christopher Walker.

Since 2018 Tim and his wife Kelsey have lived on the road full time and traveled overland from Prudhoe Bay, Alaska to the tip of South America. Currently, they are exploring Eastern Europe and Africa in their 1990 Maltec Toyota HDJ80 ”Dusty.”
