Training is at the core of Overland Expo. The series was founded to prepare overlanders of all skill and ability levels for their upcoming journeys. Getting trained to use and maintain your vehicle and equipment in the backcountry is an integral part of staying safe on your off-road or overland adventures.
To bring the core principles of Overland Expo’s premium training program to the wider attendee audience, Overland Expo Training will now be available to any pass holder in a one-day format.

Only available at Overland Expo Pacific Northwest, June 28-29, 2024 at the Deschutes Expo Center in Redmond, Oregon.
The Overland Expo Training pass is full day access to a track of premium education including hands-on driving course instruction + classroom style training.
Overland Expo Training caters to all levels, but with an emphasis on pushing the limits to ensure that students of all levels benefit from classes. Classroom style education will focus on industry best practices, new technology, recovery, and more.
Students will also have access to exclusive 1:1 hands-on training with your own vehicle on the custom-built off-road driving skills course.

Training will be located in multiple exclusive locations throughout Overland Expo Pacific Northwest at the Deschutes County Expo Center in Redmond, Oregon. Both training areas will only be accessible exclusively to Overland Expo Training pass holders.
- Custom built off-road driving course at the Deschutes County Fair & Expo Center
- Exclusive static classrooms nearby the general education area, equipped with AV, shaded and comfortable seating, hydration station
Overland Expo does not provide vehicles for use on the driving course. Please bring your own vehicle to participate in the driving course.
You may participate in all of the premium classroom style education without a vehicle.
Any Overland Expo Pacific Northwest attendee with a vehicle can participate – day pass or camper! To bring the core principles of Overland Expo’s premium training program to the wider attendee audience, Overland Expo Training will now be available to any pass holder in a one-day format.
Simply add a day of Overland Expo Training when you are purchasing your day pass or camping pass for $200. Purchase of the Training pass is valid for one day of training for one driver and vehicle. Passenger passes are also available for an additional fee.
An Overland Expo Pacific Northwest day pass or camping pass is also required.

YES! Overland Expo Training passenger passes are available for $75.
- Passenger may only ride along in the primary pass holder’s vehicle on the driving course but are not able to drive their own vehicles on the course.
- Passenger may attend all static classroom style education.
- Passengers must also purchase an Overland Expo day pass or camping passenger pass to participate.
- Add an Overland Expo Training passenger pass to any camping passenger or day pass purchase during the ticketing process.
Inventory is limited. Add on an Overland Expo Training pass to any camping or day pass package during the ticketing process. Passes will also be available for purchase on-site if supplies last.
