This is the first year that Staples InTents has participated in Overland Expo East as instructors, and we are so glad we took the opportunity to share our perspectives and stories. Although we still have so much to learn, it was very refreshing to get feedback from so many people that what we shared was not only relatable, but also helpful. Another Expo comes to a close and as usual it was both a pleasure and an honor to be associated with this group of people. I was fortunate enough to instruct in several classes as well as have my vehicle shown in the DIY Showcase area which was a fantastic experience. Instructing and sharing personal experiences is one of the best ways to give back to a community that has given me so much. I’m grateful for what this community, many of whom I now consider family, have done for me to inspire me to push further, adventure harder, and travel more. Being an instructor at Overland Expo is an incredibly rewarding experience. We have taught at five Expos now, and the process is seamless: from application, to fine-tuning programming alongside Expo staff to serve attendees best, to working with the fantastic AV team. As instructors, we get much more than we give and we cherish the friendships we’ve built at every event.

Overland Expo Mountain West lived up to all of the expectations we had! The roundtables and classes were full of travelers and potential travelers who were filled with just as much wanderlust and excitement as I had the first time I attended the Overland Expo as an attendee back in 2016. It has been a venue filled with excitement and awe, a wonderful group of like-minded people with stories and dreams of traveling the world. The adventure spirit ran throughout the classrooms, theater, and campground like a raging river of adrenaline and excitement. An essential stop on the Overland tour and we can't wait to participate again!
