We all have stories to tell, even if we never intend to write a book, create a feature film, or take to the stage. My Overland Story is a celebration of your adventures and trips out into the world—be it a weekend trip around your local forest or a multi-year expedition spanning several countries.

At Overland Expo, it is the community of vehicle- and motorcycle-based travelers that make each event so unique. The Community Spotlight is a collection of narratives promoting the voices of storytellers from diverse backgrounds and experiences.

WAYS TO SUBMIT

WRITE A STORY

  • Trip reports should be 500+ words and may be edited by Overland Expo staff before publication.
  • Must provide a link to a folder of high-quality images from your trip. (Please allow link sharing of image folder)

VIDEO A STORY

  • Keep it between 3-5 minutes to tell your story.
  • Start your video with your name, and where you are from, and (if applicable) repeat the question you are answering before diving into your story.
  • Upload your video to YouTube or Vimeo and submit the link using the form below.

If accepted, your story could be featured on the Overland Expo Blog “Community Spotlight”, on Overland Expo social media posts, incorporated into Overland Expo events, etc. We may contact you for additional details prior to publishing and will notify you when/if your story is used.
