  • Attendees descended on Redmond from all over the country. They span the country from 45 states. Ranging from Florida to Hawaii and Maine to New Mexico.
  • International attendees visited from Canada, Panama, Japan, Great Britain, Australia, Belgium, Argentina, Guam, Austria, and South Africa.

Event Highlights

  • With over 329 course hours, Overland Expo PNW Education had something for everyone. From navigating complicated border crossings to basic vehicle maintenance, no matter you're experience level, you could expand your mental tool kit at Overland Expo.
  • Campers from around the world and nearly every state exchanged inspiring stories in the on-site campgrounds about their favorite overlanding adventures. With activities from sunup to sundown, the campers had a full schedule equipping themselves for their next trip.
  • When the sun goes down, the fun doesn't stop at Overland Expo. Happy Hours, Booth Parties, the Foundation Raffle, and more fill the hours with fun and friendship.
  • The Pacific Rover Club competed in the "Vehicular Games," a trials-style competition that challenged both driver and vehicle. Attendees loved watching the tense action as each Rover navigated their way through the course.
  • The Overland Expo Foundation charity raffle was full of excited attendees who took home hundreds of prizes donated by our amazing exhibitors. Plus, the raffle raised over $16,000 for the Overland Expo Foundation.
  • The first Women Who Wander Fireside Chats was a huge success with 70+ attendees including Patty Upton, Connie Redman, Azure Oneil, Cara McClellan and other legends amongst the overlanding community.
  • GOSO Cookware debuted their made in USA carbon cookware and announced their upcoming Kickstarter campaign.  
  • Rhino-Rack displayed a 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser kitted out with a rack, tent, and awning, plus gear from other Overland Expo exhibitors. 
  • Goose Gear debuted their new plate system and camp kitchen kit for the INEOS Grenadier, turning this new and popular platform into a complete backcountry living space.  
  • Four Wheel Campers displayed their Orvis collaboration camper that’s as perfect as other FWC products for extended backcountry stays, but also loaded with features designed for the unique storage and transportation of flyfishing enthusiasts.  
  • The Shelby F-250 Super Baja was on display front and center. This impressive machine is custom built, and combines Ford’s incredible 6.7-liter Power Stroke® turbo diesel churning out 1,050 lb.-ft. of torque with a Shelby tuned advanced off-road suspension system. 
  • Toyota brought the 2025 4Runner Trailhunter back out for its second Overland Expo. As always, the Toyota Fireside Chat was packed with enthusiastic attendees looking to get an inside look at the new models from Toyota’s engineering and marketing staff members.  
  • GRIDRACK™ displayed their innovative Bed Slide and accessory line that also integrates with a number of industry-leading cargo management systems.

A Newcomer’s Guide to Overland Expo – Mountain West Edition 2024

With hundreds of vendors, over 100 presenters, trainers, and VIPs, and more than 500 session hours of education. With so much to choose from, this can be both exhilarating and a bit overwhelming for the first-time attendee to an Overland Expo. With that in mind, here’s a brief introduction to what we have going on, along with some tips to get you going.

Instructor Spotlight: Patty Upton

Patty, her late husband, Loren, are truly legends in the overland community: they explored parts of the world that had never seen travelers; and racked up five years and 56,000 miles with of stories, photos and extreme adventures.
