Wow, West was a whirlwind event for us! We reconnected with old friends, and made many new ones. We announced our upcoming PanAmerican journey, and bought a few pieces of gear that will make our upcoming adventure much more comfortable. And we learned to ride a motorcycle -- and that might just change everything! Thanks for bringing the Overland family together once again, and we are already counting down the days to PNW! What a blast! Prior to this weekend, I’ve been anxious to drive over logs, rocks, and rough road. After taking the Overland Experience hands-on driving classes, I have now Iearned how to drive safely and confidently off-road. The instructors are outsanding and extremely knowledgeable, kind, and humble. As a first time instructor at Overland Expo, I’d like to share a few words about my experience. I’m a long time exhibitor at Expo, but I have never taught any classes or even attended any. What a lost opportunity! My experience as an instructor has given me a whole new perspective on the event. The appreciation from attendees was so gratifying. I also met some amazing instructors through my participation in an expert panel. That led to some unexpected friendships and future collaboration. I won’t lie, I felt a bit of anxiety stepping into this role, but the steady encouragement and support from Azure got me through that. For anyone who might be considering giving this a try, absolutely do it! Don’t forget to check the schedule and support the other wonderful instructors.
